Sikandar Raza is a cricketer who plays for Zimbabwe but he was born in Pakistan. Sikandar Raza was born on 24 April 1986 in Sialkot in Pakistan and he nurtured the dream of becoming a combat pilot since he was 11 years old. Thus, Sikandar Raza got admission to the Pakistan Air Force Public School Lower Topa which is an all-boys military boarding school in Pakistan.
He studied for 3 and a half years there and was very on the brink of his dream but his dream shattered when he couldn’t pass the vision test mandatory for the choice . Sikandar Raza was left heartbroken and he moved to Zimbabwe for his further studies. He joined the Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland and did a bachelor’s degree in software engineering from the there.
He realized his potential for the game when he started playing cricket as a semi-professional for his university in Scotland. it had been only then when he realized that he was far better at the game than he thought and he spoke to his family about an equivalent . His parents supported him and thus Sikandar Raza opted for cricket as his full-time career. His performance got enhanced gradually year after year and he was chosen for enjoying domestic cricket by many local teams. Even at that time, Sikandar Raza never thought of playing cricket internationally the thought stroked him when he was selected by a franchise and everybody loved his performance.
He was ready to grab the eye of the choice committee still he couldn’t play for the national cricket team of Zimbabwe due to his citizenship issues. Luckily, he was granted the citizenship of Zimbabwe within the year 2011, and within the year 2013, Sikandar Raza was added to the national cricket team of Zimbabwe.
His ODI debut was against Bangladesh on May 3, 2013, when he scored just 3 runs coming in at number 3.Just 8 days later, he made his T20I debut when he played as a middle-order batsman and scored a run-a-ball 14 as Zimbabwe won the encounter.He made his Test Debut against Pakistan on 3rd September 2013 during which he made 60 and 24 within the first match as Pakistan won by 221 runs.

In 2010, he turned out being a Twenty20 expert with the bat as he was the leading run-scorer within the Domestic T20 Competition.In the Metbank Pro40 Championship Final in 2010, he played a very important jar against Mid-West Rhinos to win them the championship.
